“Crystalline cellulose was extracted from one of the cheapest source; grass by alkali, acid, and mechanical treatments. To evaluate the reinforcing effect of this filter, biodegradable polymer matrix, polylactic acid (PLA) was used and samples were prepared at different

concentrations. The modified whiskers were also used as filler to examine the effect on mechanical properties. Crystallinity, thermal behavior, surface morphology and functional group variation was monitored through, XRD, TGA, SEM, and FTIR respectively. The properties were largely depending on the concentration of filler whereas; modification of hydroxyl groups did not exhibit remarkable change in mechanical properties. Thermal resistance was decreased in comparison of neat matrix and reduction in crystallinity was also observed for composites, regardless of filler nature. It was thought that the hydrophilicity of cellulose Could be altered by modifying its hydroxyl groups, thereby promoting dispersion. However,

the possibility of phase separation was increased, and the thermal stability of the composites gradually decreased with increasing filler load in the matrix. In the examined systems, it was observed that improvement of reinforcing capacity may not only depend on the chemical compatibility between matrixes but also some BB-94 concentration compositional and physical parameters may be responsible for variation in properties. “Brain hemorrhage is the most fatal form of stroke and has the highest morbidity of any stroke subtype. Intraventricular extension of hemorrhage (IVH) is a particularly poor prognostic sign, with expected mortality between 50% and 80%. IVH is a significant and independent contributor to morbidity and mortality, yet therapy directed at ameliorating intraventricular clot has been limited.

Conventional therapy centers on managing hypertension and intracranial pressure while correcting coagulopathy and avoiding complications such as rebleeding and hydrocephalus. Surgical therapy alone has not changed the natural history of selleck screening library the disease significantly. However, fibrinolysis in combination with extraventricular drainage shows promise as a technique to reduce intraventricular clot volume and to manage the concomitant complications of IVH.”
“Ethyl acetate layer of methanol extract (TCE) of yellow myrobalan (Terminalia chebula) contains 2.4% of chebulic acid, a standard compound in TCE, which have a strong anti-oxidative effect and was reported in our previous study. Thirty-one male SD rats were randomly divided into 5 groups (normal control, CCl4 control, TCE control, CCl4+high dose TCE, and low dose TCE). Liver fibrosis was induced by i.p. injection of CCl4 and TCE were orally administrated.
